| Description | We show how to account for root suppletion of the numeral 2 in colloquial Mandarin. We argue that object-counting numerals contain abstract-counting numerals and that the morphology of Mandarin is compatible with this proposal. We implement this idea using the nanosyntactic approach to spellout. |
