| Description | The textbook contains basic information about human communication. The first part defines the notions of communication and interaction; the notions are understood widely: interaction as a mechanism of mutual impact between two elements, comunication as a mechanism of mutual conveyance between two subjects. Next part of the textbook deals with interpersonal communication (communication in the narrow sense). The notion of the media is specified in a wide sense: a specific way (means) of information transfer. The phylogenetic development of the media in human communication (cf. DeFleur, Ball-Rokeach) and their influence on the human being are discussed in the textbook. We present our own classification of the media (personal media - hidden and apparent, transferable media - individual and mass). The work concludes information on the communication process, differentiates between the process of direct communication (linear model, circular model) and transferable communication. Individual components of the massmedia process of communication (conveyor, medium, information, recipient) are discussed in detail. |
