Description ASVSP, together with Citizns´Advice Boureau in Brno, organized the "Supervision in Social Work" training between 2020 and 2022, which specifically focuses on the development of supervision in the area covered by social work. The training vision has three basic supporting pillars: (1) Equip graduates with basic knowledge and skills in the field of selected approaches to supervision (theoretical and practical framework of supervision), (2) create conditions for the gradual identification of frequenters with the (professional) group of supervisors as a comprehensively and integratedly perceived position in social work (identity) and (3) equip graduates with basic tools for targeted work on themselves (personal and professional growth). The process of "becoming a supervisor" and acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills, incl. personal growth according to the vision described above, we framed ten competencies that comprehensively encompass the role of the supervisor and the supervision process itself. During the training, the participants reflected on the gradual acquisition or deepening of these skills. The final exam consisted of a recording of the trainee's supervision in the role of supervisor and its defense in front of the group, and the presentation of a complete portfolio for an individual discussion of the trainee with the training lecturers and successful completion of this discussion. In this text, we want to introduce the reader to the important aspects of supervisory work and the process, which we illustrate with the experiences of the trainees as they stated in the introductory comments to the individual qualifications, and which - we believe - could be stimulating not only for us, but also for the readers.
