Description The term inclusion has become much discussed topic in the last years in the Czech Republic. The society was colliding over various opinions and those were finding its opponents and fans. In the Czech education system, the inclusive education was accepted as a route during which the possibilities are created for involvement of every individual into the society in a way so he could be viewed as a fully fledged member. Even now we are meeting in our society with opinions that certain categories of individuals should be excluded from the main stream of education. This happens mainly with the individuals with mental disability in which the educational differences are apparent. The submitted work deals with the definition of key areas and factors which affect inclusive education of a student with mild intellectual disability in mainstream school. The work’s objective was, based on the collected data, to evaluate possible positive and negative impacts of inclusive education. Within the study, the qualitative research methods were used which focus on long-term observation of the student with mild intellectual disability in standard elementary school. In the research were also involved, through interviews, primary pedagogical employees as well as child’s family. With the help of following analysis of the data, the study presents six categories that significantly influence the success of inclusive education of the pupil with mild intellectual disability. For the pedagogical community, the work represents insight into this topics and its suggestions for further development.
