| Description | A conscious choice of research design is crucial to the success of a Ph.D. project. Despite this, students often choose a mixed research design without having relevant knowledge of the different approaches within a mixed research approach and being aware of the advantages and risks of these approaches. The presentation, therefore, gives an overview of mixed methods research types and names the strengths and limitations of each if used in a Ph.D. project. |
