| Description | The routing of the Ricken and the "new Jonastrasse" had been controversially discussed in the years 1826 to 1833, with municipalities and the district of Uznach also primarily pursuing their own interests. Rapperswil absolutely wanted the old road to be closed down after the new one was built. This ended in the "Gatterkrieg" in 1833, when the old road was forcibly reopened. |
