| Description | This presentation is concerned with linking the current situation regarding artificial intelligence and the tools that use it with the tertiary academic librarianship environment. The areas in which AI development in academic librarianship affects services, information literacy education, and support for science and research. Open Science has also been mapped as an area mainly addressed by methodologists who are staff of faculty libraries. The presentation named the challenges and risks arising from the current context of AI development and societal research. It also presented the questions that academic librarianship and universities must ask themselves to develop the competencies necessary for the 21st century and competitiveness. |
