Description Importance of autovaccines in wound healing. Autovaccines are one of the most natural immunomodulators of the human immune system. These bacterial immunomodulators are prepared directly from pathogens cultured from infected wounds in patients. These microbes are then multiplied in suitable media, after this are destroyed, which is followed by the preparation of the vaccine itself. The principle of these autovaccines is to induce increased immunity against a certain pathogen, which is responsible for infectious disease in a given patient. After the administration of the autovaccine, non-specific immunity is stimulated, which forming an immune response to the given antigen. With the increasing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics, it is essential to constantly look for other methods of treatment. Due to the continuous progress in immunology, these biological preparations are coming to the fore as a suitable complementary alternative in the treatment of patients with recurrent infections and chronic defects.
