| Description | Cryptocurrencies are a worldwide phenomenon and are becoming a more or less common part of our lives. We encounter them in various fields and they can have many uses. At the same time, however, they can also be encountered in connection with criminal activities, whether in the form of money laundering, various frauds or other economic crimes. The present article will be devoted to this very issue, where first the concept of cryptocurrencies will be defined, the most common types will be introduced and their significance will also be discussed. The following section will then be devoted to the issue of the possible link between cryptocurrencies and crime. We will also ask the question of how to act in the context of prevention to reduce this type of crime. |
