Description The ciborium arches from Nuraminis are still an enigmatic case of medieval art in Sardinia. The four carved fragments, now decontextualised, were identified by Serra to Coroneo as the remains of a ciborium belonging to a church dedicated to Saint Constantine, an attribution based on the Latin inscription [konsta]ntin[o]y megal[oy]. The aim will be first to critically review the current state of knowledge, and then to reflect on the function and possible liturgical use of the monument through comparisons with other similar structures. The analysis of the inscriptions will be another essential aspect in order to propose a hypothesis on the cultural background of the stonemason and the sculptural decoration.
