| Description | The article provides an overview of the life and work of the hitherto little-known painter Joannes de Libero, who settled in Brno, where he died in 1707. At the same time, it brings closer examples of his work that have been sporadically preserved, including a quartet of still lifes of the l'oeil type from 1678, depicting the Dutch engravings of Pieter Quast with genre scenes in an illusionistic manner. |
