| Description | The e-book Moravian and Silesian costumes introduces the study of folk clothing in the territory of Moravia and Silesia. It deals with regionalization and the emergence of regional types, material, pictorial and written sources. The beginnings of interest in folk clothing in the 19th century are followed by an explanation devoted to scientific research and the establishment of museum collections. The typology of clothing components and their decoration is expanded by pivotal changes in development, which lead to the efforts to create a national costume, the uniqueness and role of the costume in the present. The text is supplemented with visual material and a list of literature. |
