Description The paper will highlight the two main and archaeologically visible impacts of medieval production of silver. The first is the environmental impact, which was the deforestation and contamination of soils with heavy metals. The second was the establishment of settlements of metallurgists . The task of archaeology is to recognize social structures in these specific settlement structures.
