| Description | The paper is devoted to the new Building Act, which was approved in 2021 and has been amended several times since then. The law was originally supposed to come into force on 1 July 2023, but the effectiveness was postponed and the law has been effective since 1 January 2024. In 2023, a major amendment to this law was approved. The paper will focus on selected institutes of the new Construction Act as amended on 1 January 2024. The paper will consider the benefits of the new legislation and its changes in relation to the stated objectives of the recodification of public construction law, which were to simplify, speed up and make cheaper the processes leading to the authorisation of buildings. |
