| Description | Mediation is considered a key competence in today's globalised, multilingual society and it is therefore desirable for learners to acquire this competence in foreign language lessons from as early as A1. The workshop will present the didactic concept of mediation as elaborated in the companion volume to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (2020), then use practical examples to show which skills and sub-competences learners acquire or develop through mediation activities and, among other things, why they find mediation tasks in particular motivating, activating and useful for everyday life. An inspiring exchange of ideas and tips on how to create original mediation tasks yourself will certainly not be missing! |
