| Description | Prognostic factors of renal cell carcinoma. Renal cell carcinoma is a very common tumour with slightly increasing both incidence and prevalence. Our role is in early detection of the disease and selecting the most optimal treatment option and surveillance after therapy. There are several prognostic factors and prognostic models that allow risk stratification. These tools provide information for treatment planning and patient counselling. The review summarizes the most commonly used prognostic factors of renal cell carcinoma with a focus on prognostic biomarkers. |
