| Description | A housing estate can be a "concrete jungle" for some, and a "city of greenery and short distances" for others. What does not change, however, is the fact that thousands of people live in it with their dreams and stories. The City of Dreams exhibition aims to show both faces of contemporary housing estates, while giving visitors the opportunity to actively participate in the exhibition. Contemporary illustrators process stories that take place behind the windows of prefabricated houses. Each of the authors brings their own visual style and way of storytelling, thus presenting the housing estate as a place of many stories or events that do not have to remain just behind the walls and windows of blocks of flats. The authors of the "illustrated exhibition", created specifically for the spaces of the Galaxy, aim to reopen the topic of the housing estate and life in it. After the previous exhibition "Housing Estate", this time they are addressing more children visitors and offer participation in the installation, the opportunity to actively participate in the exhibition, continue what they have started or directly create their own story. For the exhibition, they invited contemporary artists who focus on illustration, comics or animation in their work. |
