| Description | This article examines two Czech exile organizations in Germany. After defining the key concepts of tradition and modernity, this study describes the circumstances surrounding the founding of the Czech Spiritual Service and its activities in Germany, as well as the work of the exile organization Opus bonum. Both organizations are then compared in light of sociological theories concerning the development of institutions in the context of the clash between traditional and modern approaches, as proposed by Anthony Giddens and Danilo Martuccelli. |
