One-pot Synthesis of N1-(2-Phenyl-4-quinazolinyl)-2--R-1-hydrazinecarbothioamide

• Description: The key intermediate N2-(2-cyanophenyl)-N1-thioxo-methylidenebenzene-1-carboximidamide 1 reacts in acetonitrile with N,N-disubstituted hydrazine derivatives to afford N1-(2-phenyl-4-quinazolinyl)-2,2-di-R-1-hydrazinecarbothioamide 4. On the other hand the reaction of 1 with hydrazine in acetone give N1-(2-phenyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-4-yliden)-1-isopropenyl-2-(1-methylethylidene)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide.
