Description The author tries to introduce a new conception of ontology as the traditional branch of philosophy which must cope with the contemporary gigantic growth of knowledge of the special sciences, above all the natural ones. It refers to the necessity of the fundamental change of hitherto orientation of ontology. The analysis of reality as the process will také place instead of various conceptions where being is apprehended as statical and non-evolutionary, there will be installed the analysis of reality as the process --- therefore being will give way to event. This tendency is proved also at these ontological conceptions, which také attention to the problem of time and the dynamic charakter of the world. The shift of the interest of ontology from being to event is connected with its relation to special sciences. According to the author this relation cannot be limited to the commentary function or synthetic role (which is impossible today) but it ought to be fulfilled by mutual inspiration during the formulation of general questions and possible answers The qualification of ontology for this activity ought to be based in the respect for the knowledge of natural (special) sciences, and these sciences --- vice versa --- could gather from ontology the foudations for its inevitable metaphysical basis. The contemporary historical situation of ontology is in addition influenced by the contemporary situation of global world, the point of which is the surviving of human being as a gender.
