Description Fears are an indivisible and natural part of everyone's life. In various developmental stages there are certain qualitative and quantitative specifics. Fears, their intensity and range, are naturally affected by a whole range of factors-from internal personality predispositions through the characteristics of the close family environment to the wide social influences which in today's technological-development-oriented world very intensively affect peoples' lives. The paper tries to map the fears of 11-year old children based on data collected as a part of the ELSPAC (European Longitudinal Study of Pregnancy And Childhood) project run by The Research Centre for Personality and Ethnicity Development and The Department of Social Medicine and Health Care Administration.
