Description In Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew there are two references to the existence of the church dedicated to St. Luke in Padova. How could he know about the place that was not indicated in maps of the city of Padua, exception for the pilgrim's maps and narratives. In the article several hypothesis are raised, namely that concering English pilgrims and Jesuit priests as the possible source of poet's exact knowledge.
