Keywords The procedural law - the verbal and written form pocedure
Description The author examines the essential characteristic features of provincial procedural law and emphasises a gradual increase of the importance in respect of a written form of verbal procedure relating to provincial law. The example of půhon, a procedural act necessary for commencing the procedure, ilustrates the change of the original verbal form into the written one, having been infuenced by the need of an exact determination of its content. The conflict between the content of půhon and an action could result in terminating the procedure. The introduction of a written procedure in Verneuerte Landesordnungen in Böhmen und Mähren (1627/1628) surpassed a ntural completion of the long-lasting trend.
