Description The authors investigate late complications in case of condylar fractures of the mandible. They classify the complications as clinically significant ones (restricted mouth opening up to 30mm, open bite) and as clinically non-significant ones (restricted mouth opening 30-35mm, asymmetry of the mouth opening, sound phenomenon in the TMJ). Fractures were classified according to Lund. Patients with type II high fractures were rated as the risk group.
