| Description | A project, the Divisions investigative activity has been focused on, aims to make out (according to the standard anthropological analyses and paleopathological observation carried on human skeletons) obtainable information concerning characters of physical and health conditions. The research, determined to investigate mostly medieval and modern inhabitants of Moravia, brings genetic stress (congenital abnormalities and hereditary diseases), occurrence of certain diseases (those of skeletal manifestation) and their impact on physical characteristics of the handicapped individual into focus. First, a domain of anthropological analysis (inclusive the demographic data and identification of skeletal remains), second, a domain of paleopathological studies, casuistic cases included (analysis of pathological changes by particular cases), third, historical development of medical care and, last but not least, morphology of locomotor system (special attention paid to variability of bones). |
