| Description | This article is trying to discuss values of Roma people as they can be met in social work in the Czech Republic. It is trying to emphasize the values as a possible springboard for enabling a social worker to be accepted by Roma community; the social worker being someone who respects their traditions, values and unwritten law. The second aim of the essay is to point out the specific culture and lifestyle of the Roma, which they have developed as a reaction to the oppression and persecution by majority and is trying to be a guide to of the world of Roma values and sacred customs which have not been fully investigated. |
