| Description | During our researches of common and potential vectors of spirochetes Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato, we have found out the disagreement in results obtained by PCR and DFM. This difference (DFM/PCR) was in case of developmental stages of Ixodes ricinus 27.6 %, adult Culex pipiens pipiens 79 % and Culex pipien pipiens larvae 62 %. These results make us to consider the possibility of occurrence, even temporally, of other spirochetes. To confirm or disprove this assumption we have tried to type our specimens, using combination of PCR, PCR-RFLP and sequenation. |
