| Description | The position in a transport network influences strongly the development potential of a region. This is valid even nowadays when transport and telecommunication technology develop rapidly, thus facilitating social and economic interaction at ever longer distances. The aim of the paper is to look at the NUTS II Jihovýchod region (Jihomoravský kraj a kraj Vysočina) and locate areas advantaged and disadvantaged with regard to transport, i.e. areas which loose or gain economic and social opportunities due to their position in a transport network. |
