Description The paper analyses relationship between competitiveness and age structure of population. Competitiveness is understood as an ability of the economy to reach economic growth. Age structure of population is basically a frequency distribution of individuals in population. Age structures differ among countries and have different history. Changing patterns of youth, adult and senior population influence dependency ratios, labor supply, human capital, intergenerational solidarity, pension and health care systems. The paper concentrates on this relationship.
