| Description | The article deals with the origin of the extant text of the sermon collection called Sermones de principalibus festis by Petr Žitavský (Petrus Zittaviensis), an abbot of the Cistercian cloister in Zbraslav, Bohemia (d. 1339). The author makes an attempt to describe the relationship between the oral and the written forms of the sermons, she identifies the form in which the text of the sermons has been transmitted and specifies the function of the collection. |
