| Description | While eleborating projects of water stream revitalization, physical geography condition of the floodplains are to be taken in account. That is why presented typology of floodplains of the Czech Republic was elaborated. Completely 20 types of floodplains were distinguished. Determanition was done on the base of type of riverbed and its inclination, amount and oscilation of the water flow, width of the flodplain, climatic conditions and biogeographical subprovince. Detailed charakteristic of every type with picture of idealised cross-section of the floodplain are the main part of the chapter. |
