Correlation between GC content ond genome size in plants

• Description: No apparent correlation exist between GC content and genome size across major lineages of angiosperms. A significant positive correlation was found between GC content and genome size in closely related taxa. The relationship between GC content is probably hidden in events of polyploidization.
