Description Growing power of interest groups (stakeholders) together with legislation forces companies to have bigger social responsibility for their activities. The extent of such activities in Czech and Slovak companies is unknown, as the representative poll on this topic has not been done so far. In our paper, we explore Corporate Social Responsibility-reporting in these two countries to find out if and to what extent do the annual reports of Czech and Slovak companies include information about their CSR activities. Another task is to identify differences in CSR-reporting in Czech and Slovak companies. Besides this explorative research we have also tested hypotheses concerning linkages between CSR-reporting and (1) ownership of companies, (2) economical conditions and (3) size of companies.
