Description This paper is focused upon the model of the Narrative Oriented Inquiry. Six approaches to analysis and interpretation are demonstrated by the story of woman suffering from breast cancer: sjuzet-fabula, holistic-content, holistic-form, categorical-content, categorical-form, and critical narrative analysis. Narrative analysis and interpretation are often overlaped which requires a commitment to transparency as a basic principle of qualitative research and great emphasis upon reflexivity and other hermeneutic principles of understanding.
