Description The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of economic depression that had happened in 1929 and in following years on legal regulation in Germany and in the United States of America. The authors will not deal with economic processes that caused the depression, but will focus mainly on the deliberalization of the financial market and its supervision that happened because of the depression. These two countries suffered one of the most severe damages in the world from the depression, the paper will also take into account legal historic context of the development in these countries.
