Description The aim of this work was to analyze effect of Cu, Ni, Cd and Zn on the biosynthesis of metallothionein-like protein. Studied organism was exposed to solution of metal chlorides in two concentrations - 7,82 and 15,63 mg/l. Results showed significant changes in synthesis of metallothionein-like proteins in presence of heavy metals. The biggest amount of MT-like proteins was detected when the studiedd mcroorganism was cultivated in presence of cadmium. The extraction system, composed from Bug Buster Protein Extractin Reagent (Novagen) and Lysonase (Novagen), was used for the extraction of MT-like protein. Purity of isolated proteins was checked by SDS-PAGE.
