Description | Aesthetic experiencing of colours and elements research has been proceeding for two years in the ten-days course Dibba-vihara, tranquillity and concentration meditation based on psychology of Abhidhamma. One of the research goals is to find out, whether the training of concentration can affect changes in aesthetic experiencing. Grounded theory methods have become an instrument for processing researchers` records of observing, individual participants` observations and transcripts of focus groups. Participants fill out the test of aesthetic judgment at the beginning and in the end of the course. Processed data (from year 2006) back up the fact that two thirds of participants increased their test scores. Participants` reports confirm this change, which has been described as an enrichment of the extent of perception (category: the world being enlivened) and proficiencies development distinguished into three categories: technical training, enjoying results of practice and application in everyday life. |
