Description The contribution is focused on the comprehensive reading, on topicality of the thema in the research and in schools. It explains some terms - reading strategy, ability of (comprehensive) reading. The contribution resumes results of research of the thema in foreign literature and there is presented one of the classification of reading strategy. The author of that contribution deals of the strategy of catechization especially in the Czech school practise. that research problem motivation, on results of the international PISA-research and it deals with the terminology of that thematic, too.
