Description The aim of study was used wild barley (Hordeum vulgare ssp. Spontaneum, PI391126) to identification of resistance genes to powdery mildew. The genetic and the molecular analyses were performed in the F2 population of the cross between the cultivar Tiffany and the resistant PI391126. According to the ratio of resistant (234) and susceptible (6) F2 plants scored after resistance test, in the accession PI391126 resistance is determined by three genes with dominant type of inheritance, one of the genes being in the Mla locus. To the genetic mapping was used the data from 124 F2 plants of all genotypes. As DNA markers were employed the microsatellites (SSR - Simple Sequence Repeat) and the primers derived from RGH1a semence. The significant genetic linkage was found in the marker GBM1007 (LOD = 5,15) on chromosome 1H and in the marker Bmac0134 (LOD = 2,8) on chromosome 2H. The linkage of third gene was not significant.
