| Description | The quality of expert opinions is problematic. Jurists think that this problem is caused by inappropriate legal regulation, which does not enable efficient supervision and penalization of experts. The paper is focused on different kinds of the liability of expert institutes for expert opinion: liability according to the Expert and Interpreter Act, criminal liability of employees of expert institute and liability to damages. Author believes that existing legislation includes sufficient penal powers, which are not used efficiently by the authorities concerned. |
