Description In the book the authors are concerned with the relationships among creativity, mental illnesses and suicide. Suicide of artists is explained by menas of several theoretical approaches, e.g. regression in the service of ego, unbearable pain, prototypical scene, etc. The themes and motives, that might have formed the individual suicidal process in each of the author's lives, are revealed: the death theme, significant others, relationship to self, coping with a perverse world and especially desire of self transcendence and mummification of self.
