Description The study focuses on basic relations between some personality characteristics of mothers and their subjective perceptions of infant crying. It presents the method of Feelings about Infant Crying and discusses its possible utilization for research purposes. The data on 125 women who participated in the research were gathered during the third trimester of their pregnancy and between 4th and 8th week after delivery. The study revealed that depression, trait anxiety, maternal self-esteem and infant rearing attitudes correlate with maternal feelings about infant crying.
