| Description | In 2004, Vysočina Region, Department of social security and public health in co-operation with Department of education, youth and sport prepared a pilot project named First aid to schools. The main goal of the project was to lead the teaching especially to learning practicall skills with minimum theory. The target group are pupils from the 8th year of elementary schools and pupils of the same age from multiyear gymnasia. Current research carried out in selected primary schools of Vysočina probed into a level of knowledge and skills of first aid provision among pupils in the 8th grade of primary schools who have not passed the teaching within the project yet, and the level of knowledge of pupils who have already passed a part of the first aid teaching. The comparation of gauned information answered the question whether first aid teaching implemented within the project met the expectation and what is a current level of knowledge among pupils in providing first aid with high quality. |
