Description This presentation deals with fundamental principles and other questions of criminal liability in the Czech criminal law especially with regard to the new Criminal Code which was accepted in 2009 and will be effetive since January 1, 2010. The author analyses the most important changes relating to criminal liability such as for example introduction of a formal concept of a crime, binary categorisation of indictable offences or reaching fourteen years of age as a precondition for criminal liabilty. The main aim of this paper is to provide relevant information about the topic mentioned above from the comparative point of view (new Criminal Code in comparison with current Criminal Code) and to disccus some issues connected with new legal regulation.
