| Description | The field of quality of life studies and related dimensions, domains and indicators has widened in the past decades. Quality of life studies are regularly published in journals of several scientific disciplines presenting the results of basic and applied research. This paper explains the human geography approach of research into quality of life. Number of key conceptual and methodological issues is examined. Two basic dimensions (objective and subjective), several domains, indicators and some aspects of the conceptual model for quality of life research are presented. Finally, the usefulness of quality of life research in geography is assessed, and several conclusions for future research are suggested. |
