Description The paper analyzes quantitative contribution of binaural correction as compared with monaural correction in persons up to 75 years of age and over 75 years in precisely defined signal-to noise ratio (SNR). Accordingly, 95 subjects younger than as well as 94 subjects older than the given age limit were examined. The results made it clear that the contribution of hearing aid on the other ear in cases of side symmetry is statistically comparable in both groups.
