Citation
Description After spending several years in Czechoslovakia, Sylvie Germain adopted in her writing the space of the country where she lived between 1986 and 1993. She loved Prague especially when there were fewer tourists and the city was not included in the list of main tourist destinations in France and the world. She could walk about freely and soak up the atmosphere of the city called poetic. At the same time, she was interested in people who lived there and got to know some of the work of Czech artists. The city of Prague, the atmosphere of the country in the years 1980 and 1990, and the art of Bohuslav Reynek were the sources of inspiration in some of her novels.
