| Description | Prospective study evaluated efficacy and safety of the Laser-assisted subepithelial keratectomy (LASEK) for the correction of hypermetropia in a young patients with refractive accommodative esotropia (RAE). 19 patients (38 eyes) with hypermetropia and RAE were included to the study. One year postoperatively 74% of patients improved to ortophoria without spectacles. 26% of patients needed to wear spectacles for residual hyperopia to achieve ortophoria. Our results support that LASEK is effective and safe method to correct hyperopia with refractive accommodative esotropia. |
