Description The purpose of the work was to assess to what extent mother's stress during pregnancy can affect some aspects of problem behavior during younger school age. The analysis was made with use of the data of ELSPAC project. For the measurement of stress during pregnancy, the Inventory of Life Events was used; Goodman SDQ Questionnaire was used for measurement of problem behavior of children. The results show that the prenatal stress of pregnant mothers has a certain influence on behavioral difficulties of children and therefore stressful events in pregnancy can be considered as one of the antecedents of child behavior problems at younger school age.
