| Description | 6th Summer School on Computational Biology which was taken place in Lednice, Czech Republic, from 23 to 25 September 2010. The topic of the summer school was Deterministic and Stochastic Modelling in Biology and Medicine. This topic was chosen as a very important phenomenon which has generated exciting modelling research topics for centuries. The investigation of modelling in biology and medicine, particularly deterministic and stochastic modelling has always been closely linked to mathematical and statistical theory and to computational skills. The deterministic and stochastic modelling and their reflection in contemporary computational techniques still present very progressive scientific goals, together with an ever-growing importance in this field in recent years. The summer school has specifically addressed all fields that might be interesting for computational biology and medicine. |
